Dyson Panko

Serving in the Canadian Armed Forces for over half a decade exposed me to many opportunities, including leadership training, mental readiness, and the importance of remaining calm in the face of challenge. That experience gave me confidence, discipline, and a deep respect for proven processes.

During leadership training in the Armed Forces, we studied mental readiness and well-being. One lesson that stayed with me was the importance of recognizing signs of mental distress, as well as the life events that can create significant stress. We were taught that three of the highest-stress experiences include career courses, combat tours, and divorce or separation.

That realization deeply connected with the work of Panko Collaborative Law. The adversarial court process can intensify the pain and uncertainty families already face during separation and divorce. Knowing that separation and divorce could be mentioned in the same breath as combat-related stress reinforced for me that our firm’s vision — transforming the way families experience separation and divorce — is urgent, meaningful, and necessary.

I also knew that this mission would require more than good intentions. It would require a strong team, clear systems, disciplined execution, and caring people working together toward a shared purpose. As our organization grew, we sought out business processes and structures that would help us advance our mission with greater clarity and consistency. This led us to the Entrepreneurial Operating System, and I was entrusted with the role of Integrator.

Today, as CFO and Integrator for Panko Collaborative Law, I focus on creating and strengthening the business systems that empower our team to do excellent work. My role is to support the financial health, operational clarity, and strategic execution of the firm so that our lawyers and team members can serve families with focus, compassion, and excellence.

I am passionate about building a business that supports meaningful legal work, empowers our team, and contributes to transforming the way families experience separation and divorce. Through my work as CFO and Integrator, I am committed to helping Panko Law grow into an organization capable of meeting our clients’ needs with excellence while creating a healthier, more compassionate path for families.
